DeeMoney Strengthens Real-Time Security for Cross-Border Payments Through Partnership with SEON

As DeeMoney continues to expand its international payment network, the company is strengthening the technology behind every transaction to make cross-border payments faster, safer and ready for its next stage of growth.

For DeeMoney, moving money across borders has never been simply about transferring funds from one country to another. Behind every transaction is a purpose, whether it is supporting family back home, paying for education overseas, working with an international partner or managing payments across markets.

And behind every purpose is trust.

As cross-border payments become faster and more connected, maintaining that trust requires payment infrastructure to evolve alongside customer expectations. Transactions need to move quickly, while fraud prevention and compliance checks need to happen just as quickly in the background.

That is why DeeMoney is continuing to invest in the technology behind its cross-border payment ecosystem.

As part of this development, DeeMoney has partnered with SEON to strengthen real-time fraud prevention, transaction monitoring and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) capabilities across its international payment operations.

The partnership represents another step in DeeMoney’s broader technology strategy: building an infrastructure that can support greater scale and increasingly sophisticated risk environments while keeping the experience simple for customers.

Connecting Thailand to the world with speed and trust

Since its founding in 2017, DeeMoney has focused on making international money transfers more accessible and less complicated for people and businesses in Thailand.

Today, DeeMoney is licensed by the Bank of Thailand, enabling customers to send money from Thailand to more than 85 countries, while also supporting inbound payment flows through a network of more than 70 global partners.

As the network grows, so does the complexity behind every transaction.

Cross-border payments are expected to move quickly, but speed cannot come at the expense of security. Every transaction also needs to be assessed for potential fraud and financial crime risks without creating unnecessary friction or delays for legitimate customers.

For DeeMoney, this means investing beyond what customers see when they open the app.

It means strengthening the technology operating behind every transaction.

Through its partnership with SEON, DeeMoney is bringing fraud scoring, transaction monitoring and AML screening into a more integrated infrastructure. The implementation also strengthens capabilities in areas such as geolocation, VPN detection and real-time risk intelligence, providing additional signals that can help identify potentially suspicious activity as transactions take place.

The objective is not simply to introduce more checks.

It is to make those checks smarter, faster and better integrated into the payment journey.

For customers, much of this technology will remain invisible. They can continue focusing on where their money needs to go, while DeeMoney continues strengthening the infrastructure working behind each transfer.

When payments move in real time, protection needs to move with them

The way people think about international payments has changed.

Customers increasingly expect cross-border transactions to feel as seamless as the digital services they use every day. At the same time, payment providers are operating in an environment where financial crime risks continue to evolve and compliance requirements are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

For a cross-border payment platform, these priorities cannot be treated separately.

Speed matters. Security matters. And increasingly, both need to happen at the same time.

As Troy Nyi Nyi, SVP and GM, APAC at SEON, explains:

“Cross-border payments platforms like DeeMoney operate on speed and trust. Every transaction has to be screened in real time without slowing down the payout. That’s a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have.”

That principle shaped how the new infrastructure was implemented at DeeMoney.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all fraud model, the implementation was built around DeeMoney’s existing transaction environment. DeeMoney’s fraud rules were migrated from its previous provider without disruption to live operations, while the new system was configured around the company’s actual transaction patterns and data.

“We built this implementation around DeeMoney’s actual transaction patterns and data, so the fraud logic fits their business from day one,” said Troy Nyi Nyi.

For DeeMoney, this continuity is important. Strengthening security should not mean interrupting the services customers and partners already depend on.

Instead, the goal is to build on the knowledge and controls DeeMoney has developed through years of operating cross-border payments, while introducing infrastructure capable of supporting more sophisticated real-time risk assessment as the business grows.

Building technology around the customer, not complexity

Technology in financial services is becoming increasingly sophisticated, but that sophistication shouldn't add friction to the customer experience.

For DeeMoney, the opposite should happen.

As more technology works behind the scenes, sending money internationally should become easier for the customer.

Those systems should simply work in the background.

This philosophy is central to how DeeMoney approaches technology. New infrastructure should solve complexity behind the transaction rather than pass that complexity on to the customer.

By bringing key fraud and compliance capabilities into a more integrated environment, DeeMoney can strengthen its ability to manage risk while continuing to focus on what customers ultimately care about: getting their money where it needs to go simply, securely and efficiently.

Building the foundation for DeeMoney’s next chapter

The partnership is not only about protecting the transactions DeeMoney processes today.

It is also about preparing the company for what comes next.

As DeeMoney expands into new markets, develops new products and connects more customers and businesses across borders, the infrastructure supporting those services needs to scale alongside them.

That means being able to support higher transaction volumes and new payment flows while adapting to emerging fraud patterns and evolving compliance requirements.

For Aswin Phlaphongphanich, Co-Founder and CEO of DeeMoney, strengthening this foundation is closely connected to the reason DeeMoney was created in the first place.

“We created DeeMoney to make cross-border payments simpler and safer for our customers and partners. Partnering with SEON strengthens that promise, giving us real-time fraud protection as we grow into new markets and launch new products.”

The partnership therefore represents more than the adoption of another technology platform. It forms part of DeeMoney’s continued investment in building a cross-border payment ecosystem that can grow without losing sight of the experience and trust of the people using it.

Because as payments become faster, the infrastructure protecting them needs to become smarter.

And as the technology behind cross-border payments becomes more complex, the experience in front of the customer should become simpler.

More than moving money, it’s about moving trust across borders

Every international transfer begins with a different story.

The destinations may be different, but every transaction relies on the same fundamental expectation: the money should move quickly, securely and with confidence.

As DeeMoney continues connecting Thailand with more of the world, protecting that trust will remain central to how the company develops its technology, products and partnerships.

The collaboration with SEON is another step in that direction, strengthening what happens behind every transaction so that what customers experience in front of it can remain simple.

Faster payments. Smarter protection. Simpler cross-border experiences.

DeeMoney. Move Money. Move Forward.
